Georgia Chamber of Commerce + Literacy

Yesterday, we recognized the 81st anniversary of D-Day. I ask that you please join Dayle and me in honoring the bravery and sacrifice of the thousands of Allied troops who stormed the beaches of Normandy. This moment in our history marked a pivotal turning point in WWII and ultimately led to the victory of the Allied forces, preserving the hope of freedom for generations to come.

May this day always serve as a reminder that freedom isn’t free.

Sharing our Winning Message

The House Majority Caucus has been traveling across the state, sharing our winning message and legislative victories from the 2026 session with our communities and constituents.

From increasing access to healthcare, investing in quality education, and championing literacy to passing another historic tax rate reduction, returning money to taxpayers, and making our communities safer—we listened and delivered on the issues that matter most to our fellow Georgians.

It was great to join Chairwoman Leesa Hagan, Chairman Matt Hatchett, Chairman Clint Crowe, and Representative Lehman Franklin in Vidalia as they shared these accomplishments with their constituents and looked forward to the 2026 election cycle, where we’re confident our record of success will resonate with voters at the ballot box across the state.

Dayle and I were honored to present Rep. Matthew Gambill with the Georgia Chamber’s 2025 House Legislator of the Year Award

As we continue throughout the summer, I hope each of you will remember that I’m always available to help with any issues you may be experiencing or to discuss the policies that matter most to you and your families.

My best,
Speaker Jon Burns
