North Georgia Tour + Hispanic Heritage Month

Early voting for the November 2026 elections begins soon, and House members are hard at work on the campaign trail, sharing our record of accomplishments and winning message with voters across the state.

I joined our candidates across North Metro Atlanta this week to support their campaigns ahead of Election Day. From lowering taxes and the cost of living to strengthening education, improving public safety, and creating opportunities for hardworking Georgians, House Republicans have a strong record to share with voters.

This November is one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes, and we’re working around the clock to earn Georgians' support and keep delivering results under the Gold Dome.

On Monday, we gathered in Athens with candidates for the Georgia House, Dutch Guest and Ward Black, and Georgia’s next Congressman from the 10th, Houston Gaines. We need strong, common-sense leaders who will protect our values and work to keep Georgia moving forward. That’s why I hope you’ll join me in supporting Dutch, Ward, and Houston as they work to serve their fellow Georgians.

We had a fantastic event in Buford with Representatives Sandy Donatucci and Matt Reeves. Whether it’s cutting insurance premiums, delivering property tax relief, strengthening public safety, or championing early literacy, Sandy and Matt are addressing the issues most important to their communities and making life more affordable for the families they represent.

I was excited to be in Marietta with Representatives Devan Seabaugh, Joseph Gullett, and Sharon Cooper. They’re doing a great job championing access to healthcare, property tax relief, strong schools, and policies that help Georgia families keep more of what they earn. I look forward to continuing our efforts to build a brighter future for Georgia.

It was great to be in Alpharetta with Rep. Chuck Martin and Jack Miller, an incredible young leader running to represent House District 47. Jack has earned the support of proven leaders like Rep. Martin and Speaker Pro Tem Jan Jones, who know what it takes to deliver real results for Georgians. I look forward to welcoming him to the House and working together to build on the important work being done for our great state.

I enjoyed being with my friend Scott Hilton in Peachtree Corners! Scott is leading efforts to strengthen education, lower the cost of living, and make life better for the families he represents in House District 48. Let’s make sure he’s back under the Gold Dome in January, continuing to champion common-sense policies for our state!

Hispanic Heritage Month

September is Hispanic Heritage Month, and this week, House Republicans were proud to honor Georgia’s Hispanic citizens and celebrate their many contributions to communities across our state and nation.

From building successful businesses and serving in the state legislature to wearing our nation’s uniform, teaching in our classrooms, and protecting the communities we call home, the impact of Georgia’s Hispanic community can be seen in every corner of our great state.

We’re grateful for all they do to make Georgia a stronger, more prosperous place to call home.

I was honored to join Insurance Commissioner John King and Representative Rey Martinez to recognize our friend, Mr. Jose Perez. At just 12 years old, Jose’s parents sent him to live with his grandparents in Florida to escape Castro’s Cuba. Since then, he has dedicated his life and career to defending freedom, championing education, and serving his fellow Georgians through numerous boards and organizations.

2026 Ballot Questions

In addition to the statewide and local officials on the ballot this November, Georgians will have the opportunity to vote on three ballot questions that will impact the future of our state.

I hope you’ll join me in voting YES on all three measures. Learn more about each question and what you can expect to see on your ballot below:

Ballot Question #1 - Increase Acreage Limit for Farmland Conservation

Shall the Constitution of Georgia, for the purpose of protecting family farmland, be amended so as to increase the maximum acreage to qualify for assessment and taxation as a bona fide conservation use property from 2,000 acres to 4,000 acres?

If ratified, this constitutional amendment will support Georgia farmers by doubling the amount of agricultural land eligible for conservation, helping preserve family farms and protect working farmland from unchecked development.

Ballot Question #2 - Require Nonpartisan Elections for Probate Judges

Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to require that all probate court judges be elected in nonpartisan elections?

If ratified, this constitutional amendment will require Georgia probate judges to be elected on nonpartisan ballots rather than through partisan primaries, helping strengthen the integrity and impartiality of Georgia’s judicial system.

Ballot Question #3 - Authorize Creation of Next Generation 9-1-1 Fund

Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to authorize the General Assembly to dedicate certain existing revenues, including revenues reallocated by law, to a nonlapsing fund to be used exclusively for the expansion, maintenance, and operation of emergency 9-1-1 systems in this state?

If ratified, this constitutional amendment will strengthen public safety and modernize Georgia’s emergency services system, ensuring first responders have the resources they need to serve communities across our state.
