Bubba Longgrear for State School Superintendent
I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend as we observed Memorial Day and honored the generations of American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom.
Dayle and I have had a great couple of weeks spent with family and friends, celebrating graduations, weddings, election victories, and many other moments that have reminded us how thankful we are to call this great state home.
Bubba Longgrear for State School Superintendent
Georgia’s children are the future of our state, and their future begins with the opportunity to learn to read. The Georgia House has delivered historic literacy reform, and now, we need a strong leader to stand alongside us to implement those policies.
That’s why I’m proud to support Bubba Longgrear for State School Superintendent. He has the experience, vision, and proven leadership we need to make sure every child in Georgia can read and succeed.
I hope you’ll join me in voting for Bubba Longgrear in the June 16th General Primary Runoff. Early voting begins on June 8th and ends on June 12th. Don’t forget to make a plan to get out and vote.
Insurance Affordability Reform
During the 2026 Legislative Session, addressing rising insurance premiums was a top priority for the Georgia House. We were proud to deliver meaningful insurance reform for Georgia’s drivers, families, and businesses with the passage of House Bill 1344.
HB 1344 increases approximately 40 fines on insurance companies when laws or policy provisions are violated during the claims process, strengthens enforcement of uninsured motorist laws, and cracks down on insurance fraud. The bill also improves storm claim processing and enhances the Fortified Homes program to help Georgians better protect their homes from storm damage.
Coupled with last year’s historic lawsuit reform legislation, policyholders across our state are already seeing results. More than 10 major insurers have announced and filed rate decreases, saving Georgia drivers up to 10% per insured vehicle on their auto policies and delivering millions of dollars in annual savings to hardworking families.
