Veterans Day + 2025 Legislative Review

On Tuesday, we joined together to honor the American heroes who answered the call to serve our great nation and defend the freedoms we all cherish. We are forever grateful for their courage and sacrifice.

May God continue to bless our veterans, their families, and these United States.

2025 Legislative Review

The Georgia General Assembly is just 59 days away from reconvening for the 2026 Legislative Session, where we remain committed to championing policies that keep our state the best place to live, work, and raise a family for generations to come.

In 2025, the House was proud to lead the way in passing several priority measures that addressed the cost of living for hardworking Georgians, increased access to healthcare, strengthened K-12 education, secured our schools, bolstered public safety, and created job opportunities in every corner of our great state.

The House looks forward to gathering back under the Gold Dome in January to continue building on our strong record of success and delivering results on the issues that matter most to our fellow Georgians.

Until then, check out some of the policies from last session that are already making a difference in the lives of our neighbors throughout the state:

HB 268 - Comprehensive School Safety Plan
HB 67 ‘AFY 2025 Budget’ - $50 Million for School Safety Grants to Every Public School in Georgia, over $800 million for Hurricane Helene Relief, $500 Million for Water Infrastructure Projects
HB 68 ‘FY 2026 Budget’ - $22.7 Million for Literacy, $19.6 Million for Mental Health Support Grants to School Systems, $16.5 Million for Corrections Officer Pay Raises, $1.1 Billion for Critical Infrastructure Projects
